What should I change?.Where can I get the extra 1300 men, around 1 division, from?.How does this influence the campaign and later Kriegsmarine activities?.What happens with each warship group? How does the Royal Navy respond?.Note especially the increase of 1000 men in Narvik.
In total, this should put 10000 troops ashore in Norway on 8 April 1940, as opposed to the 8700 of real life. The troop-carrying warships are divided into 5 groups, plus a cover force of Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, as follows: This means that they are able to participate in Operation Weserübung, the German invasion of Norway, in April 1940. The POD for this is that the German light cruisers Nürnberg and Leipzig are not torpedoed by HMS Salmon on 13 December 1939, for whatever reason.
